The Shields Valley School District recently announced its honor roll.

Students on the fourth quarter regular honor roll are: 

Seventh-graders — Kyle Fiedler; eighth-graders — Kayetlynn Hoeme, Kyle Jerke and Kathryn Nelson; ninth-graders —Tyler DeFord and Jaeli Jenkins; 10th-graders — Wyatt Rooney and Gratia Somerville; 11th-graders — Gweneth Collins, Kayla Johnson and Chloe Manger; 12th-graders — Kara Lykins.

Shields Valley High School has announced its awards:

“I Dare You” Awards for character and leadership were given to Bailey Fiedler and  Jules Croston.

Rane Sager and  Aidan Jenkins won the Babe Ruth Awards for sportsmanship, and the True Grit Awards went to Cayla Parks, Hazen Marshall and Reagan Hanson.

Boys basketball coaches awards are as follows: Coaches Choice went to Dylan Flatt, Offensive MVP to Aidan Jenkins, Defensive MVP to Emmett Gilbert, and Most Improved to Cole Flatt.

Shields Valley High School seniors who graduated Sunday in Clyde Park are:

Michael Cody Collins, Eric Stacey Davis, Cayla Maxine Parks, Seth James George, Emmett Judson Gilbert, Jaiden Marie Huttinger, Kara Ann Moran-Lykins, Tori Fay Johnson, Gabriel Ethan Mills, Rylee Christine Fisher, Hunter Leslie Sanderson, Karlee Ann Worthington, Todd David Nollemeyer, and Cali Rane Sager. 

The valedictorian was Karlee Worthington and the salutatorian was Rane Sager.

City Commission Meeting: Small business loans approved

Park County MSU Extension Agent Katie Weaver told the Livingston City Commission Tuesday four $10,000 small business emergency loans have been approved through the Revolving Loan Fund, with a few more being considered Wednesday.

The emergency loans are available for businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“We have a lot more loan applications in the hopper,” Weaver said. “We anticipate taking anywhere from 10 to 20 more to the loan committee in the coming months.”

The Wilsall Water Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Shields Valley Senior Center at 208 Elliot St. North (U.S. Highway 89) in Wilsall.

 

Clyde Park Town Council Meeting

The Clyde Park Town Council Meeting that was scheduled for May 13 has been rescheduled to 7 p.m., May 20. Community members will be allowed to attend through zoom with the following link: by going to zoom.us and entering Meeting ID: 961 9232 2335.

The Wilsall Water Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Shields Valley Senior Center at 208 Elliot St. North (U.S. Highway 89) in Wilsall.

 

Build a Better Wilsall

Build a Better Wilsall Foundation meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Shields Valley Senior Center. 

 

Western Drug hours

New hours at Western Drug Too in Clyde Park are Mondays through Thursdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are not open during the noon hour. They are closed Fridays until further notice.

Church gets new roof

The Shields River Lutheran Church got a new roof this week. 

A crew from Ace Roofing removed the shingles and took the steeple down as part of the project. A new metal cross will soon go up where the old steeple was.

Meanwhile, new shingles are now on the roof.

In other Shields Valley news: 

• Shields River Lutheran Church in Wilsall will not meet for worship Sunday, April 26. 

• The blood draw scheduled for Friday, April 24, at the Shields Valley Senior Center in Wilsall has been canceled.

Shields Valley Schools have canceled all previously scheduled events and activities for the remainder of the school year. 

 

Mail ballot election

The Shields Valley 大福彩票网 school election will be held by mail ballot. These will be mailed to all active registered voters on April 20. The marked ballots may be mailed to the school or dropped off at the school in Wilsall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in the white building’s entryway. Voted ballots should be returned by 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.
